Update Information
Program updates are available using the built-in Auto-Update feature which automates the update retrieval & installation process from our internet site. New updates are posted nearly every two or three weeks. If internet access is non-existent or connection speed is too slow for update file retrieval, users can be placed on our quarterly update mailing list.
To retrieve and install an FHA Software update ...
1.) Backup your FHA Software database ( using the built-in Data Backup/Restore feature )
2.) Establish an internet connection
3.) Start FHA Software for Windows
4.) Click-on Help .. Check for Update .. Auto-Update Process .. Get Update - Internet
5.) When file download is complete, click-on Update to install the update
The following are details of revisions, enhancements and new features added with recent FHA Software updates.
IN GENERAL: Revised - The Edit Cost window in the Work Order feature by adding four additional Labor Description lines.
ACCOUNTING: Revised - All Actual & Budget Comparison Reports ( Balance Sheet, Operating Statements, etc. ) to recognize an increase from or decrease to a zero amount as a 100% Difference .. Revised - The Rent Roll Detail report to include a * No Activity * notation for all vacant units as it already does on the Rent Roll Summary report .. Revised - The Tenant Ledger Report to include the Charge Month & Year in the Description field for all recurring tenant charge entries.
HUD SPECIFIC CHANGES: Revised - The Automatic HAP Adjustment Calculation feature to correct minor adjustment calculation accuracy issues that have come up since the last update release .. Revised - The Household Member Information section to allow a SSN Exception Code to be selected and maintained when a blank, all 9's or T-ID has been recorded for the member's Social Security Number.
RD SPECIFIC CHANGES: Added - A new Allow Changes to Worksheet Date option to the RD Menu of the Password Protection feature that controls whether a User can or cannot change the RD Project Worksheet Date from the default date established for each tenant change by the program .. Revised - The RD COA Associations feature by expanding the total number of Accrual to Cash Adjustment account numbers allowed to 15 and Authorized Debt Payment ( Non-RHS ) to 10.
LIHTC SPECIFIC CHANGES: Updated - The Alabama Tenant Income Certification form [ AL-Sec42 TIC ] to the current revision that includes the .06% PB Savings Rate change.
IN GENERAL: Added - The option to exclude internal *.OLD & *.BAK backup files ( automatically created when installing an update or running the Reindex & Optimize feature ) from being included in a project database backup when the backup file becomes too big to email or fit on a USB Memory Stick .. Added - The option to exclude saved RD 3560-7 Budget ( *.BGT ), RD 3560-10 Balance Sheet ( *.BAL ), RD Project Worksheet History ( *.WKS ), and HUD HAP Voucher History ( *.VCH ) files from being included in a project database backup when the backup file becomes too big to email or fit on a USB Memory Stick .. LIHTC SPECIFIC CHANGES: Revised - The Georgia Income Certification [ GA-S42 TIC ] to automatically insert the Adjusted Annual Income amount on page #2 Part III when HOME is the applicable program type and it's a Recertification, not Initial .. Revised - The WNC Monthly Initial Tenant Certification Report to the 2006 form revision and added the ability to use information recorded in the new Project Data - Comment section to be automatically inserted on this printed form.

A Broadcast Email Message was sent to all FHA Software users with detailed instructions.
