Duane D. Tinsley is the President of Simply Computer Software, Inc. and has been involved with affordable housing since 1982. Duane is the creator of FHA Software which is currently being used to automate over 5,500 RD, HUD, and LIHTC projects nationwide. Duane continues to be involved with software development and attends industry vendor meetings to stay on top of required changes. Duane also attends and speaks at numerious management association conferences throughout the year which includes sponsor/exhibitor display participation. Most of the SCS website pages provide information about FHA Software for potential clients, as well as existing users. This blog page is a way for Duane to chronologically document ongoing industry related events that he feels are of interest.

Just posted the HUD FY2019 Income Limits DataSet to our ftp site which includes HUD Multi-Family Housing Programs ( ex: Section 8, PRAC, etc. ) as well as Low Income Housing Tax Credit ( LIHTC ) programs that are both effective 04/24/2019. Auto-Update Process File - On February 27, 2019, the internal password used to access the ftp location of our FHA Software update files changed. Since the ftp password is hard coded in our Auto-Update Process feature program, a program revision must be retrieved in order to be able to download and install all future updates, using the built-in Auto-Update Process feature.
To retrieve this Auto-Update Process file revision, do the following ...
Go to [ http://files.simplycomputer.net/Auto_Update_Revision.exe ] and click-on RUN
Note: A "WinZip Self-Extractor" window will appear.
Make sure the UNZIP TO FOLDER path displayed has the correct drive letter and folder path where your FHA Software PROGRAM folder resides in your system ( normally C:\FHAWIN ).
Then click-on UNZIP .. OK .. CLOSE
Note: The built-in HELP .. CHECK FOR UPDATE .. AUTO-UPDATE PROCESS .. GET UPDATE feature will now work once again.
To retrieve this Auto-Update Process file revision, do the following ...
